Description

Your students are going to love this engaging moon phase project! This no-prep, differentiated activity is a great way to help students summarize and reinforce the Earth, sun, moon relationship.

After reading short descriptions, students will create scientific diagrams to summarize what they read and then explain their pictures in a sentence or two.

Details About Moon Phases, Tides, and Eclipses Project:

This project is differentiated so that you can assign phases, tides, and eclipses or only phases and eclipses.

There are three levels of differentiation for learners of all abilities, including ELL learners.

A sample project is also included.

Concepts included:

Cause of moon phases
Terms: waxing, waning, full moon, new moon, crescent, gibbous
Solar and lunar eclipses
Tides: spring and neap
